Mine Safety Training Videos

  The West Virginia Office of Miners’ Health Safety and Training offers the mine safety training videos listed below.  These are currently in VHS format - we are converting them to DVDs. We have also instituted a fee of $8 per tape for these.  If you are interested in obtaining any of these films, contact any  WVMHS&T office for details or send email to:   videomaster@mhst.

The West Virginia Surface and Underground Apprentice Miner programs were revised in a cooperative effort with West Virginia University Mining Extension Service and are currently available to mine trainers. The programs are on CD and are provided as  Power Point presentations.  The cost for these programs is $35 for each.   For more information contact:  videomaster@mhst

  A  Coal Truck Driver Training Program has been established to provide eight hours of safety training to mining industry truck drivers. The program consists of instructor materials and student guides.  The cost for this program is $10.  For further information on any of these materials send email to:  videomaster@mhst

This is a program developed by MHS&T staff designed to assist the miner operator in achieving the safest operating position.  This program will assist in properly training the continuous mining machine crew and haulage personnel in the correct operation of remote controlled continuous mining machines. 

  This interactive CD is used in conjunction with the High Voltage test panels, recently developed by WVMHS&T and is a component of the revised electrical certification program and was developed in cooperation with West Virginia University Mining Extension Service.
