West Virginia Office of Miners' Health, Safety and Training is
responsible for the enforcement of the West Virginia Mine Safety Laws
and Regulations (Chapter 22A Code of WV). Learn more about our

MINERS' HEALTH, SAFETY AND TRAINING WILL BEGIN ISSUING THE SAFETY
SENSITIVE PERSONNEL CARD ON TUESDAY, JANUARY 22, 2013.
TO OBTAIN, YOU MUST
VISIT ONE OF OUR OFFICES TO HAVE YOUR PHOTO
MADE AND CARD ISSUED. A COMPLETED
SAFETY SENSITIVE PERSONNEL
FORM AND A $10 FEE IS REQUIRED.
The Board of Coal Mine Health and Safety is now accepting appplications
for the Examinations of Underground and Surface Inspectors. The
examination date is April 23, 2018 at Flatwoods Days Inn and Suites,
Flatwoods, WV and a Map Class will be held the evening prior to the
examination at 6:00 p.m. on April 22, 2018 at Flatwoods Days Inn

Mine Inspectors' Examinations
- Be advised that with the passage of S.B. 687, the Mine Inspectors'
Examining Board duties will be absorbed by the Board of Coal Mine Health
and Safety, effective July 1, 2017.
